Do all homeopathic medicines look a like?
Well, to answer this question precisely we have to first know how the homeopathic medicines are prepared. Hahnemann had introduced a method of dynamization called “potentization” through which we can extract the medicinal power to the maximum extent. In this process as “alcohol” is the only base used for all medicines, all the homeopathic medicines (called as “dilutions” by homeopaths) will look alike.

What do you mean by mother tincture, 3x, 200 etc in homeopathic medicines... is it streength of the medicine or amount of the medicine... means something like 200 means 200mg like
As i told earlier that homeopathic medicines are prepared using alcohol as the base, mother tincture is the crude extract of the medicine done by using various pharmocological methods along using alcohol as the base (remember this alcohol is 100% and is an excellent inert substance)generating a liquid or a tincture. As this is the base for further higher potencies, it is named as "MOTHER TINCTURE". The next levels of potencies are generated from this like 6C, 30, 200, 1M, 10M etc. And these numbers indicate the power or strength of the medicine and NOT THE QUANTITY OR AMOUNT OF MEDICINE. While 3x indicates a strength attained when alcohol is not used and sac lac (a solid inert substance) is used in preparing the medications especially for solid substances and these potencies can go like 3x, 6x, 12x, etc
